THE RULES
There are a few rules and guidelines you must follow. I'm pretty relaxed, but I would like the rules in place to be adhered to, please. If you have any problems or suggestions/comments, feel free to pm me.
General
- No fighting. We're all here to make friends and roleplay, not create enemies, okay?
- Do not post any offensive material, let's keep this site PG-13 at the most. No full-frontal nudity, keep the sexual references sparse and mild, and absolutely no discrimination or offensive terms. Mild swear words are alright, as long as they're not used constantly.
- Please be fair and courteous to others and their beliefs.
- No text-speak. This is stuff such as '2day' instead of 'today' and '4eva' instead of 'forever'. We're not texting someone here, it's a legitimate, literate roleplay. You can afford to take a little extra time and make sure your spelling and grammar is an acceptable standard.
- Keep signatures at a sensible size. If a signature is too big, I will inform you and ask that you resize it to a sensible size.
- Keep icons at 100x100. They look much better like that.
- No hotlinking pictures! This is against Proboards rules! If you wish to share a picture, upload it to an imagehosting site (such as Photobucket or Imageshack) and use the link given for that.
WHILST ROLEPLAYING
- No godmodding or power playing is allowed whatsoever. In other words, don't create a super-powerful character with no weaknesses and don't take control of another person's character. However, as Terabithia is a product of imagination, if your character visits Terabithia (such as Leslie and Jesse), you are allowed some leeway. If you clearly state that your character does something spectacular, such as take out an entire squadron of the Dark Master's army, to appear more heroic, this will be allowed, as it creates a good opportunity for agruing and bantering amongst character (eg. "Oh, you SO couldn't do that!" "Yuh-huh!" "Nuh-uh!").
- If you are roleplaying a fight, godmodding still applies. You cannot harm the character you are fighting against in your initial post. For example, Character A can throw a punch at Character B, and can state where he is aiming, but they are not allowed to hit him in the post. Instead, Character B must reply, stating whether or not he was hit. Keep in mind that this works both ways. If, for example, Character B was not facing Character A when the punch was thrown, then the chances of him being hit are significantly increased. Finally, there can be no overpowering a character in one post.
- When replying to an RP thread, look at ALL the posts that have been posted before yours. Acknowledge these posts in yours. It's common courtesy.
- As an extension of the above post, if you are not strong in terms of spelling and grammar, please use the spell check button before posting, and make sure to re-check your grammar.
- Please try to make all RP posts at least 30 words long.
- Interact with other members! How can you roleplay if you're always alone? Don't be afraid to bump into Leslie, step on Jesse's foot accidentally, or insult Janice within earshot of her!
- If there are problems regarding how other people are role-playing, or how it's going, or if you're uncomfortable with how other character's are treating you in the RP, please contact me. I do not want you to feel uncomfortable in any way.
Breaking these rules enough times will result in punishment.
Thanks for reading this, and enjoy roleplaying!
