Jess sighed, and well everyone around him seemed engrossed in the frivolity of the ocassion, Jess felt as if he was walking the Green Mile. After what seemed like forever, he found himself sitting above the dunk tank.

Just then, a new face walked up. Dropping some change on the counter, he picked up some balls and moved towards a firing position. Taking one good look at the target, he lobbed the ball... and hit the target dead center. This put a grin on his face, his brown eyes twinkling as he said, "Still got it."

Jess' eyes went wide. He had been watching his two friends the entire time, not expecting anyone aside from the two of them to make the throw.
Suddenly there was nothing supporting his weight, and he was falling and immediately became submerged in a thick coating of slime.

Dorian stood in shock when he saw Jesse plummet into the slime. He had not expected this new kid to have gone in front of them. They were, after all, at the front of the line.
But, Dorian took this with a shrug of the shoulders. No point in complaining now that it was done. But, he made sure that he and Leslie were next to dunk Jesse.
He waved to Jesse when he appeared at the plexiglass window at the front of the tank, and couldn't help but burst out laughing when he saw Jesse's reaction after coming out of the tank.

The new kid chuckled as the poor fellow fell into the slime. He moved to introduce himself to the girl and other fellow. "Hey, sorry about that. Didn't know there was a line up. Thought you two were standing there talking." He stuck out a hand. "Name's Ryan Meister. Just move here and saw the signs for the fundraiser."

"Hey, Ryan," Leslie said, smiling with faint relief; she thought the kid had been rude but it turned out she was wrong. He was pretty nice. "Nice to meet you. I'm Leslie."

"Nice to meet you. Sorry again about the line cutting." He walked over to the tank and grinned at the boy in the tank. "How's the slime?"

Jade laughed as Jesse, caught completely unawares, fell into the tank. The boy who had dunked him- she didn't know his name- began talking to Leslie and Dorian, apologizing for cutting the line. She decided to try her hand at it before she was next in the tank herself. She got into the line behind Dorian and Leslie, readying herself for the wait as they tried to dunk their friend.

Dorian smiled as he saw that Jesse was still in the tank and hadn't taken his place on the platform again. He still had 27 minutes left in the tank.
"Do you want to dunk him first?" Dorian asked Leslie.

Jess took his place back up on the collapsable seat and sighed heavily, trying to think of an event that could make time pass more slowly.

Leslie laughed, seeing Jess's face as he sat on the seat above the slime. "You can go first," she told Dorian. "I want to be the last. That way he'll be so slimy he won't care about one or two more dunks!"

"Hahaha, okay," Dorian said, amused at Leslie's reasoning.
He went up to the dunk tank and bought five softballs.
Before he threw the first one, however, he called out to Jesse.
"How you doin', Jess?"

"Slimey," Jess replied stoically, his eyes plainly stating, 'I dare you.'

Dorian smirked and lined up for a shot at the target.
After aiming for several moments, Dorian took his shot and managed to hit the target right, releasing the catch that kept Jesse's seat upright.
((OOC Comment: Kryptale, not to be rude, but could you maybe post some more in terms of length?))

Jess had already braced himself, had already known that Dorian would make the throw. Still, taking a second coating of a particularly adherent and not-too-great-smelling substance wasn't any less shocking, especially considering the sudden plunge.
He came back up quickly and spat out some of the slime, making a mental note to clench his jaw instead of letting his mouth open as he fell.
"Nice shot," he said to Dorian, looking at him with one eye. He then climbed back up onto the chair.
