Leslie turned and saw Mandy walking away from Jess's bed; she pounced on the opportunity to talk to him and instantly, yet somewhat hesitantly, headed in his direction.
"Hey, you," she murmured as she sat down on the bed. She looked into his face and smiled; he was looking better already. "Getting bored with the hospital yet?"

Jess beamed as he saw Leslie walk over to his bed.
"You think?" he asked sarcastically with a smile. "Dunno what I'd do without you, Dorian, and everyone else here...Thanks, by the way. You know...for everything." He offered her another smile.

Leslie fought an urge to throw her arms around him. "You're... you're welcome," she said softly, and for a brief moment she felt rather shy. She knew what Jess was trying to say; instead of hugging him which she would have liked to do, she put her hand over his. "I'm so glad you're okay."

Jess' smile transformed into a grin that practically enveloped his entire face. He didn't know what else to do besides hold her unwavering gaze, nothing short of pure admiration and affection glistening in his eyes.

He looked at her. Yeah, it was more then admiration and affection. It was, simply, love. He knew that now; he kept looking at her, but then he blushed, feeling his cheek get a bit pink from their hands touching, but he didn't care. He moved his hand and held her gently, stroking hers with his thumb.
"To be honest, Les, its because of you that I'm feeling a lot better."

Jesse laughed a little and then looked at his friend,a little blush appeared on his cheek which he was unaware of.

He then looked around and then back to her he had to change the subject fast this was getting dangerously like a confession about how he really felt for her

Jesse had always dread swinging on that thing,it was old and worn out but held out for a bit,he shook his head trying to think straight and seeing Leslie trembling he knew what he had to do.
Jesse grabbed Leslie's hands and held them assuring her everything was going to be ok.
"well hmmm does your dad still have some left over lumber we could make a bridge,and we will make it strong and safe ok don't worry Les."
He did something he never did he kissed her cheek and looked at her,he was telling her he wasn't going to allow her to get harmed
